Scraptastic Workshop with May Chappell

Working with scraps or repurposing textiles is an opportunity to make a treasure out of trash. Using May Chappell Squiggly Bits or Scrappy Star, students will leave with an arsenal of machine piecing tools and tips for perfect points. We will also discuss scrappy chain piecing, color, value and fabric placement. Best for confident beginners through Intermediate.

Date: Thursday January 27th 
Time: 6-9pm 
Location: Village Fabric Shop (we will be using the Barn space across the sidewalk from VFS)

COVID19 Policy: Wearing a mask is required to take this class

Instructor: Lee Monroe
Instructor Bio: Lee has been creating since she first discovered crayons at age 2! She's from a family of quilters and learned everything from her mother, affectionately known as The Guru. She loves all things fabric from zippy pouch to queen size quilt and everything in between. With a love of color and bold graphic shapes, Lee enjoys designing patterns and teaching all types of classes, while sharing her adventures on her blog, She is a trained graphic designer which shows in her clean aesthetic. Her work has appeared in multiple publications. Lee is also a BERNINA Ambassador, as well as a Craftsy and Creative Spark instructor. Lee is the author of Jump into Sewing, published by C&T Publishing. She is an active member of the Triad Modern Quilt Guild. Lee lives in beautiful North Carolina.
