Machine Sewing 101



In this class you'll learn the basics of using your sewing machine. You'll learn how to thread your machine and bobbin, use the different features of your machine, and feel comfortable continuing to sew at home. You will make a pin cushion* to help start your sewing journey! 

All materials come with the class. *We use ground walnuts shells as a pin cushion filling, please let us know if you have an allergy before class. 

Ages 16+

Use one of our machines or bring your own working machine with you.

Requirements: This class requires that you bring your own functional sewing machine, there are a few shop machines available for use, please call the shop to reserve a machine.

Instructor Bio: Kelsey has been sewing for over 25 years and is one of the owners of Village Fabric Shop! She has been a textile and art educators for 10 years.
