Wardrobe Fit & Refresh With Laura Earle
Discover the potential in customizing your existing clothes through tailoring, mending, and more. Through lively, group discussions, as well as one-on-one fittings, we will identify common problems and tackle solutions head-on, using hand and machine sewing techniques. We will cover everything from common fit adjustments, simple design mods, and various mending techniques, to more creative and decorative improvements.
Bring 1-4 garments in need of refreshing as you want, we’ll get to as much as we can. You can bring clothes you've made, patterns you are working on, or clothing you purchased from a store. This is a "workshop-style" class guided by the participants needs, there not is not a set project.
Supplies: We will have various supplies and notions for you to use: thread, sewing tools, rulers, and some scrap fabrics. If you require a specific tool, please bring your own basic sewing supplies.
All levels are welcome. Please note: Basic sewing machine skills will not be covered in this class, if you need to learn basic sewing machine skills please take Sewing Machine 101.
We have shop sewing machines available, if you would like to reserve a shop machine for this class, please call the shop before you register for the class. Thank you!
