Open Studio Craft and Sew with Piedmont Fiber Shed
Piedmont Fibershed is a community organization dedicated to building a regional fiber system in the Piedmont of North Carolina centered around local fibers, local dyes, and local labor. We seek to support and develop a regional fiber economy that benefits the environment, workers, and the local economy. You'll engage with other folks interested in local, sustainable fibers and textiles and learn about how to get involved with our work.
Bring a craft or sewing project and enjoy stitching, knitting, crafting and sewing with awesome people. Though this is a free gathering, but space is limited so please register so we know how many people to expect.
This is an "open studio style" crafting and sewing night, this is not a structured class but an evening to enjoying making with great people!
This would be a good night to work on hand craft projects (instead of bringing a sewing machine) because of the number of people coming and conversation. Hand sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, knitting, crochet, needle felting, shashiko etc. You could always come early and pick out a kit to work on!
Please feel free to bring a refreshment of your choice - beer, wine, sparkling water, etc.
