Machine Sewing 101 & 102 COMBO!

This is a Machine Sewing 101 and 102 combo class. This class takes place over 2 sessions, to sign up for this class you must be able to attend BOTH sessions. 

In the first session you learn all the basics of operating your sewing machine and in the second session you put your skills to work and make a zippered pouch! Check out more details below!

1st Session: Machine Sewing 101

In this class you'll learn the basics of using your sewing machine. You'll learn how to thread your machine and bobbin, use the different features of your machine, and feel comfortable continuing to sew at home. You will make a pin cushion* to help start your sewing journey! 

All materials are included in the cost of the class.


*We use ground walnuts shells as a pin cushion filling, please let us know if you have an allergy before class. 


2nd Session: Machine Sewing 102 - Zippered Pouch

This workshop will focus on how to sew a zipper. You'll learn the basics of sewing and finishing a lined zippered pouch. We will go over putting in a zipper, topstitching, boxed corners, and more! 

Materials--included in the cost of the class. We have a selection of pre cut canvas for you to choose from. 

Ages 16+

Use one of our machines or bring your own working machine with you. 

If you need to reserve a shop machine, please call us to reserve a machine when you sign up!
