Sewing Tools Trio with Ruby Star Society!
Come get creative and learn how to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind sewing tools. You will walk away with a needle book, a set of pattern weights and a magnetic needle minder. We will be using the Ruby Star Society Projects with a Purpose Panel which features super cute motifs from all of your favorite Ruby Star designers.
This class will cover both machine and hand sewing skills. Come and enjoy working with beautiful fabric, learn news skills and craft in community. These tools will be bright additions to your sewing practice and your sewing space!
All the materials are included in the cost of the class.
Each participant will receive:
- One yard of the Ruby Star Society Project with a Purpose Panel
- Walnut filling for the pattern weights
- Covered button and magnet for the needle minder
- felt and fusible fleece
Materials tools needed:
- Please bring a sewing machine in good working order, you may reserve a shop machine, please call the shop ahead to reserve.
- favorite fabric scraps/stitching thread you have and may want to incorporate into your design
- We will have all the basic sewing tools you need but if you have a favorite scissor, marking pen, etc - please bring.
Skilled covered: hand and machine appliqué, ladder stitch, tips for sewing small corners and curves, and basic embroidery stitches.
Come and learn news skills and craft in community. These tools will be bright additions to your sewing practice and your sewing space!
