Quilting 101 - Dorothy Quilt Pattern
Join VFS instructor Emily and learn all the basics of quilting and make the adorable Dorothy Quilt from Penelope Handmade!
In this class you will learn how to plan, cut and sew the Dorothy Pattern quilt top. You will start the quilt top and learn all the steps. Depending on size and personal speed you may not finish your quilt top in class, however, Emily will review many approaches to finishing your quilt.
Come and enjoy sewing in community and building your quilting skills.
Materials Needed:
- Dorothy Quilt Pattern
- Checkboard Fabrics and Background Fabrics (See fabric requirements below)*
- Neutral Color thread for piecing. We recommend cotton
- Any favorite sewing tools you have. We'll have all the basics you would need.
*You won't need binding, batting, or backing fabric for class. Some people prefer to wait till their quilt top is done to choose binding and backing and some people like to choose it first!
