Appliqué Tee Shirt
Learn the art of mending and up cycling your tee shirts using fabrics and materials we have in our Reuse Shop! Bring a tee shirt or two from your wardrobe that needs an artful mend or update. You will learn valuable hand sewing skills and creative approaches to appliqué that will make your tee shirts new again.
Date: Weds October 29th
Time- 6pm-8pm
In this workshop you will learn:
- Applique
- Visible Mending
- Artful hand stitching approaches
This class is open to all ability levels but having a basic understanding of hand sewing is useful.
Materials needed:
You will need to bring a tee shirt or two from your wardrobe that needs mending or an update.
We will have basic hand sewing supplies available, but if you have special tools you enjoy please bring those along.
Fabric, Threads, and patchwork supplies will be provided. If you have any favorite scraps of fabric, fun buttons, or decorative surface design materials you'd like to use feel free to bring them.
