Appliqué Adventure with Jen Kingwell



APPLIQUÉ ADVENTURE

During this workshop Jen will be exploring appliqué techniques, tips & tricks that she uses in many of her finished projects.With a focus on unique designs to personalise the projects, participants will explore each step of the applique process and the different methods that can be applied. Jen will supply a block to work on or participants can bring any of Jen's designs that include appliqué blocks.

Please bring to class:

-Small cuts of fabric in a wide variety of colours and prints-Florals, geometrics,stripes, novelty prints etc.Fat 16ths and fat 8ths work well).Remember to include lights mediums and some darks.
-A fat 1/4 as a background for appliqué
-Template plastic-a thicker one works best *
-Ultra fine permanent marker
-Scissors for cutting plastic
-Straw or Milliners needles size 11 *
-50wt or 80wt thread for appliqué in a variety of colors
-General sewing tools e.g. pins, fabric scissors, ruler etc.
-JKD Mechanical Pencil *
-Sandpaper board *

*We put together a Jen Kingwell Applique class pack that includes Sandpaper board, JKD Mechanical Pencil, JKD Milliner sz 11 needles, and Template Plastic. You can purchase that here. There is a limited number available so please purchase before class and we will hold it for for class.
