Austin Dress Sew Along
Join VFS instructor Sharon Clarke and learn how to sew the Austin Dress by Grainline Studios! Enjoy building your garment sewing skills in a in supportive, creative community. This dress is a timeless, breezy classic - you might want to make more than one!
This class is suitable for the confident beginner and beyond. You must feel comfortable operating a sewing machine and have a basic
understanding of how to read a pattern.
There are two versions of the dress a gathered skirt or a straight skirt front, you may choose the look you prefer. Please come to class with the pattern already cut out. if you are unsure what size to cut or want some guidance on cutting please check in with us at the shop we are happy to help. This is a multi-level class and each sewist will be working at their own pace.

Monday July 20th | 6-9pm

Suggested Fabrics
Main Fabric Light to medium weight woven fabrics such as cotton poplin, chambray, denim, linen, linen blends, rayon, and rayon blends. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, and directional prints.
Interfacing Light to medium weight woven fusible interfacing.
