Sew Liberated Gypsum Skirt

Gypsum is the skirted sister of the Arenite Pants – same ridiculously comfortable waistband and drapey pockets, with more flounce, perfect for twirling through any season. Layer it under or over dresses, wear it with a boxy top or cami, and shorten or lengthen the pattern depending on the season and your style.

Fabric 

For View A, look for rayon challis, tencel twill, silk noil, or other fabric with fantastic drape. View B can handle a slightly stiffer woven fabric in addition to those recommended for View A. Good possibilities include mid-weight linen, double gauze, cotton ikats, and lightweight denim.

For View A

45” wide fabric

• All sizes: 3-1/4 yards (3 m)

54” wide fabric

• Sizes 0-22: 2-3/4 yards (2.5 m)

• Sizes 24-34: 3 yards (2.75 m)

For View B

54” wide fabric only

• Sizes 0-22: 3-1/4 yards (3 m)

• Sizes 24-34: 3-1/2 yards (3.2 m)

45″ wide fabrics are not recommended for View B as it is not wide enough.
