Kantha Cloth Purple Stripes

This fabric is  meticulously crafted and hand stitched. Layers of saris are hand stitched together. 

Kantha cloth is rooted in tradition, connected to nature, and infused in sustainability. It is about preserving the rich history of heritage embroidery and inspiring the next generation to keep slow stitching techniques alive. Slow stitching makes the use of running stitches to create unique stitch art which are mostly done by layering pieced and whole fabrics together to achieve the desired thickness and size and hand sew parallel running stitch to create unique and one-of-a-kind cloth.

Due to the handmade nature of this cloth there are some irregularities that add to the charm of the cloth. 

Because of the hand stitching, the longest continuous cut of this cloth is 4 yards (if you order more than 4 yards it will be sent in two cuts).
