For Autumn/Winter 2024, Liberty Fabrics presents The Curated Floral, a celebration of the beauty, diversity, and wonder of nature’s masterpiece – the flower. Celebrated across three distinctive narratives: Floral Focus, Floral Library, and Floral Wonderland, this collection spotlights flowers outside their natural context and as a subject worthy of artistic, scientific, and symbolic study. Whether photographed, painted, or preserved, the Liberty Design Studio has re-envisioned the flower as a work of art.

Exploring the flower as a vehicle for abstraction, this striking block colored design was originally printed as a Liberty scarf in 1968. Dramatically cropped and zoomed-in, monumental peony petals create symphonies of contour and texture by revealing a fluid camouflage pattern. This print is part of the Floral Focus narrative of the collection – inspired by countless artists who have attempted to tame their unruly blooms through the genre of still life, this series is a true celebration of organic forms and flourishes.

The design is printed with acid dyes for high quality color rendering on our sophisticated Monument silk twill – a fabric prized for breathability and moisture permeability, making it effortlessly trans-seasonal.
